A MODERN TAKE ON A Lost CHICAGO TRADITION

Little Bit O' Magic had a little bit o' everything.; bar magic, table hopping magic, and stage acts.

Magic bars once dotted Chicago's late night landscape.

There was the well-known New York Lounge on N. Lincoln, the famous Schulien's in North Center, and South-Side club Little Bit O' Magic. Many more would come and go like Mr. C's Magic Lounge, Johnny Paul's Magic Lounge, Houdini's Pub and Pizza Magic, and Frank Everhart's Magic Bar at the Ivanhoe.

They were all places to see live magic up-close and personal, with a cocktail in hand, culminating in an exciting and unforgettable experience. They pioneered what is now known as the "Chicago Style" of magic; magic right at your table, and the bar, in an adult invironment.

Recent years have seen the last of the Chicago magic clubs close their doors. So that got us wondering-- what happens now?

Bartenders at the New York Lounge would entertain guests right at the bar.

Schulien's had magic behind the bar and at the tables, entertaining guests over dinner.

The Chicago Magic Lounge is made of up over 30 local professionals, aiming to bring you the city's best magic every Thursday and Saturday night. Teaming up with the Uptown Underground, the Lounge is dedicated to revitalizing an important Chicago tradition. Come by to experience magic at your table-top, behind the bar, walking around, and close out the night with a main stage act of the highest caliber. We have re-created the experience for a new audience, and is now the heart beat of the Chicago Magic Scene.

Our goal is to provide an unforgettable experience that will leave you wondering not only how our magicians do it, but what will happen next.

Shows are every Thursday and Saturday nights.
