COCKTAIL HOUR PERFORMERS
Lee moved to Chicago in 2013 after studying Literature at Emerson College in Boston, MA. He has been performing close-up magic with the Chicago Magic Lounge since its very first performance. In addition to magic, Lee is a house improviser at CIC Theater, and the editor of The Hambook, a quarterly journal about improvisation.
Justin Purcell hails from the mysterious land of Indiana. His interest in the dark arts was sparked by an “I can read” book called Spooky Tricks. He was inspired to make a career of magic by two things: his love for sharing with audiences the wonder of the impossible and his distaste for honest work. Magic is real!
Jeanette Andrews is a contemporary illusionist and artist who specializes in creating interactive sensory illusions, possessing a contemplative take on the art of the impossible. Combining a lifetime of craft with influences not typically seen in magic performances such as interactive performance art, immersive theater, quantum physics, and philosophy, she invents a unique take on this ancient art form. Andrews uses sensory anomalies and scientific oddities to bridge everyday life to a special, heightened world. Hailed as one of the most innovative illusionists today, Andrews has staged hundreds of performances at museums, theaters and universities across the United States, including sold-out and standing-room-only crowds at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Birmingham Museum of Art. Illusion is Ms. Andrews’ life’s work and her performances have been praised by PBS, The Daily Mail, and the Chicago Tribune.
Over the past two decades Mike O’Donnell has been entertaining audiences with his magic, watching his childhood hobby transform into an obsession before evolving into a professional career.
Mike can be found every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Lagunitas Brewery performing his craft, if not enjoying a cold one in the Taproom.
