Carisa Hendrix, an award-winning entertainer featured in the Guinness Book of World Records, Ripley’s Believe it or Not and the Super Channel documentary Carisa Hendrix: Girl on Fire; a documentary which tells the harrowing story of Hendrix’s magic show on the Las Vegas strip. Her awards include the Allan Slaight Award, Canada’s Best Entertainer 2013, Best Comedy Magic Show at the Melbourne Magic Festival in 2017, and Canadian Rising Star 2019, and she was recently nominated for Stage Magician of the Year at the World-Famous Magic Castle.

After years of being asked what it’s like to be a woman in magic, Carisa and fellow professional magician, Kayla Drescher, started “Shezam,” a feminist podcast about magic. The podcast was created as a resource for the magic community to empower women to empower themselves and has gained a loyal and active subscriber base.

In addition to magic, her multi-faceted skillset also includes sideshow stunts, circus arts, balloon sculpting, stilt walking, fire dance, visual art, and acting. The combination of these varied disciplines create Hendrix's signature theatrical style.
