Join us at the Chicago Magic Lounge for a dazzling, one-night celebration of "The Power of Magical Women," the groundbreaking new book by award-winning magician, producer, and trailblazer Connie Boyd. A former Las Vegas headliner and an international champion for women in magic, Connie will take the stage as emcee, hosting an unforgettable evening featuring two of the magicians highlighted in her book, Abby Segal and Paige Thompson. This exclusive event will showcase their talents and provide a unique opportunity to engage with them after the show. Stay for a special Q&A session and conversation with the magicians and the author. Don't miss this extraordinary night!

Seating for Spotlight: The Power of Magical Women begins at 7:00 p.m., and the stage show starts at 7:30 p.m. The stage show's runtime is approximately 60 minutes, with a brief break before the Q&A. It does not include table magic before the stage show.

About the Artists:

Connie Boyd is an award-winning magician, producer, director, and writer whose four-decade career has shaped the landscape of modern magic. A former Las Vegas headliner honored with the World Magic Award for Best Cabaret Act and Monte Carlo’s Prix du Public, she has performed in major theaters and on international television. From 2009 to 2020, Connie produced and directed four all-female magic shows for global cruise lines, paving the way for greater representation of women in the field. Her advocacy continues through the Magical Women Project, her widely acclaimed lecture How Women Influence Magic, and her editorial work for Vanish magazine. Recognized with top industry honors, Connie now adds author to her achievements with The Power of Magical Women, a groundbreaking book celebrating contemporary women in magic.

Abby Segal is a Chicago-based magician whose sharp wit, inventive style, and signature close-up and parlor magic have delighted audiences since she began performing at age 11. A resident company member at the Chicago Magic Lounge, she has appeared at top venues including Hollywood’s Magic Castle, Keys and Heels in New York City, The Helsinki Magic Show, and The Amsterdam Magic Show. Abby premiered an original effect on Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2021 and continues to create, teach, and perform magic that blends her background in psychology and film with her dry humor and audience-centered approach—all without sleeves or a top hat. Outside of magic, she is also a visual artist working in collage, watercolor, and sketching.

Paige Thompson is an internationally touring magician known for her distinctive brand of magic. She is a resident company member of the Chicago Magic Lounge and has wowed audiences at top venues, including the Magic Castle in Hollywood, House of Cards in Nashville, Liberty Magic in Pittsburgh, and theaters in Branson, Missouri. Paige’s television appearances span Masters of Illusion, Showtime at the Apollo, and Penn & Teller: Fool Us, along with global hits like America’s Got Talent and Germany’s Das Supertalent, where she shared the screen with some of the world’s leading illusionists.

Spotlight: The Power of Magical Women will be presented for one night only on Monday, December 8, 2025. Tickets are priced at $35 (Main Floor) and $40 (Front Row).

The Harry Blackstone Cabaret features an unobstructed view from every section. 

The cabaret-style seating, featuring elevated rail and banquette areas on the main floor, provides maximum access to the stage and allows guests to enjoy a cocktail. You and your party may also share a table with other guests.
