Lucy Darling returns to the Chicago Magic Lounge with the US premiere of her amazing, semi-improvised comedy magic show, which has been praised as a wonderful mix of laughter, storytelling, and fantastic feats of magic. This edgy, postmodern show is a double shot of magical mischief with a dash of old Hollywood, on the rocks.
Indulgence with Lucy Darling is firmly rooted in the character conceived by award-winning variety entertainer, Carisa Hendrix. Her fascinating sprite-like creation takes her inspiration from the glamorous, self-possessed, and impossibly witty leading ladies of classic Hollywood. Set in the current climate of cleansing, detoxing, and shaming, Hendrix’s Lucy Darling is a reminder that a little indulgence goes a long way.
Hendrix is an in-demand magician, performing shows around the world, from the Melbourne Magic Festival to House of Cards in Nashville to the World-Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. She has made numerous television appearances, and was most recently on the sixth season of Penn and Teller: Fool Us. Carisa is the recipient of multiple awards, including “Best Comedy Magic Show” in 2017 at the Melbourne Magic Festival, the Allan Slaight Award, and Canadian Rising Star 2019. She has also been nominated for ”Stage Magician of the Year” by the Academy of Magical Arts at the World-Famous Magic Castle.
